摘要：Apparatus for manufacturing corrugated paper board (27), includes a single-facer assembly (14) for supplying a continuous single faced corrugated paper sheet (16)and means for supplying a continuous lower cover sheet (22) for facing the other side ofthe fluted sheet. A gluing machine (19) applies glue to the non-faced flutes of the singlefaced sheet (16) and a double-facer assembly (25) combines the single faced sheet (16)and the cover sheet (22) in a heating section (30). In known machines at start up the lowercover sheet (22) is pulled through the heating section (30) by an overhead conveyor (62).This is replaced by a reciprocating shuttle (36) at the side of the heating section whichgrips the paper by fingers (42) and carries the paper through the heating section. Thisgives advantage in less water retention in the board, and also quicker stoppage andrestart in the event of breakage of a sheet.
