摘要：The book scanner includes a wedge shaped member with a pair of angularlysplayed surfaces extending from an apex, upon which a partially opened book may besupported with its spine adjacent the apex and opposite pages adjacent the surfaces. Thescanner uses 2-dimensional array detectors attached, either rigidly or rotatably, at acommon edge on the wedge, with the detectors located on the wedge surfaces. Theopposite edges of the arrays are housed in a base, which may support a backlight forillumination of the book pages. Read-out electronics output the image data stored in thedetectors. Pref. the detectors are electrically coupled so that there is a single logicalscanning surface.
