摘要：A skin preparation patch, and kit for and method of preparing an area of skin 8for a subsequent transdermal procedure, includes the provision of a patch with first andsecond parts 1, 2; the first part comprising an adhesive layer suitable for adhering thepatch to the skin and the second part both defining the area of the skin in which thepreparation process should be carried out and being able to be removed leaving the firstpart adhered to the skin. A third part 3 may additionally be provided which can beremoved independently of the first and second parts, creating an opening in the secondpart. The second part may be provided with skin preparation means (e.g. an array ofmicro-protrusions 14 or a chemical substance for cleaning/sterilizing the skin).
